Commercial Bank of Dubai (CBD) has launched CBD Invest, a digital wealth management platform embedded in the CBD Mobile App, aimed at the bank’s affluent, Elite and Private banking customers. The launch was .
What the platform combines
| Feature | What it covers |

| Initial asset classes | US-listed equities and exchange-traded funds, with live pricing |
| Elite and Private Banking tier | Digital tools alongside a dedicated relationship manager and specialist investment advice |

Dr Bernd van Linder, CBD’s chief executive, said customers are “looking for clarity, confidence and a trusted partner to help them navigate complexity.” As of 30 June 2026, CBD reported AED154.5 billion in total assets and AED1,885 million in net profit before tax.
A second act after CBD Investr
CBD Invest is not the bank’s first digital investing product. In April 2021, CBD launched , a standalone robo-advisory app built with Belgium-based wealthtech firm InvestSuite, which the bank positioned at the time as the first robo-advisory solution from a Middle East bank. That app requires only $500 to start and doesn’t require a CBD account.
CBD Invest serves a different tier. It sits inside the bank’s main mobile app rather than as a separate download, targets affluent, Elite and Private banking customers rather than first-time investors, and pairs its digital tools with a human relationship manager at the higher tiers. CBD’s announcement doesn’t say whether CBD Investr continues to be developed alongside the new platform, or how the bank expects customers to move between the two.
A crowded and growing market
the UAE’s robo-advisory segment will reach around $750 million in revenue by 2027, within a wider GCC wealthtech market driven by an affluent population estimated at roughly 1.5 million people. CBD Invest puts the bank alongside standalone platforms including Sarwa, Wahed Invest and StashAway, and rival banks such as Emirates NBD, Abu Dhabi Commercial Bank and Mashreq, competing for the same segment.
Building the capability in-house rather than partnering with an external platform keeps customer data and any future revenue inside the bank, a factor increasingly cited across the sector as digital wealth tools move from standalone apps into core banking channels.
